DIO at The Edge, Palo Alto, CA 2/10/97

Here are a few pictures taken the night of Dio's performance at The Edge. It was a sold out show and the place was packed. The band sounded tight and special credit should be given to James Kottek (drummer for the Scopions) who was filling in for Vinny Appice while he recovers from his bout with pnemonia. Also "hats off" to Larry "Bones" Dennison who took over the task as Jeff Pilson finishes up his work with Dokken.Tracy G's guitar work made my ears bleed!

Ronnie sounded fantastic and it was great to hear the old classic Dio songs as well as a couple songs from the new album Angry Machines. The set list included Mistreated with a bit from Catch the Rainbow. The crowd must have all been hardcore RJD fans from the reaction to all the material this night. There were even a few Elf albums floating around. Don't miss DIO on this tour!

Thanks to Steve Margheim for these two photos
